Updates!

Hello!

So the club just finished the Hedley Bike and the build team had a great down down at the Save On Foods Memorial Center this past Saturday, Feb. 11th, 2011.  They met Dave Rosin, who rode the bike and spent some great quality time with the crew.  Then they met Karl Wolf, who also spent some amazing time with the crew and asked them to build him a “Wolf” bike which they eagerly agreed to! They also met some of the other amazing artists that performed that night.

We are in the process of relocating the “Rock Bikes!”

We’ll keep you posted on when and where they will be.

Spring is in the air and with spring comes bike rides!  We are excited to announce that we will be hosting organized rides this year.  We are super pumped about this. Schedule to be posted soon!

Event time!  Please see our upcoming events listed in the Events section.  These are great opportunities to come check out the bikes, and find out what we are all about!

Cops For Cancer – Tour de Rock

Hey everyone,

On Friday Sept 16th, we revealed a new ride geared towards the cops for cancer tour de rock. It all started back in may and finished friday night at the mix and mingle at the Harbour Towers Hotel. The bike was revealed by Kaleb Sparrow, Kyle Veld, and myself (Iceman), with huge response. Kaleb did an awesome job unveiling the bike which was then put up for auction in the silent auction. The starting bid was $100, with a value on the bike being $500. When the auction closed, the bike went for $1500 by Coast Capital Savings. They than in turn donated the bike back to the Canadian Cancer Society, to go on tour with the cops for cancer riders.

Rob Zombie in Victoria BC receives his chopper bike “Dragula” from AC/BC

Thomas and Conner with "Dragula"

Hard work paid off for the build team of the “Dragula” Bike!  Mike “The Bike”  took club member, 16 year old Thomas Haywood down to the back gates of the Save On Foods Memorial Arena last night in the hopes of presenting Rob Zombie with “Dragula”  At the arena, the met up with Conner, another teen who worked on the bike.

Thomas Going BackStage!

Before they knew what was happening, the team was backstage presenting “Dragula” to Rob Zombie!   Rob Zombie was fantastic, as were John5 and the management team.  They were appreciative of the work that went into the bike and Rob exclaimed that he has never received a bike before!  He loved the art work on the tank.

Rob Zombie trying out his new wheels!

After admiring the bike, a few pics, and handing out t-shirts and tickets to the crew, Thomas, Conner, Mike “The Bike”, and Rye Guy watched Zombie wheel away his bike!

An amazing experience for these teens.  Sadly one member of the team was unable to make it because of a previous commitment, but I am sure he will appreciate the result of his hard work!

AC/BC meets Gene Simmons, Shannon, Nick and Sophie!

Gene on "The Jewel" posing for Mike "The Bike"

Well the hard work paid off.  After spending over 150 hours creating “The Jewel” bike, The build crew had the opportunity to present it to the famous family!

Tony peeking out

Sophia, Thomas, Tony and Gavin waited anxiously behind a drawn curtain that hid them and “The Jewel” from Gene and Family.  Their moment came just after Gene was presented with the key to the city.  They wheeled the veiled present up to the stage and then revealed it to the family.

Thomas, Tony, Sophia and Gavin waiting anxiously!

Sophia then told the family that it was a gift for them and handed over a photo book that told a story of the build in pictures from start to finish.

Shannon surprised them all by suggesting that they all autograph the bike so that it could then be auctioned off to raise funds for the club!  Shannon asked Sophia if she thought that would be alright and Sophia nodded excitedly with approval!

Shannon suggesting they sign the bike so that it can be auctioned off

Gene, Shannon, Sophie and Nick were fantastic, fun, kind and energetic.  We were extremely thankful for this opportunity!

The bike will be going on tour before being auctioned off.  It will be on display at the View Royal Casino (dates to come) and then move on to our amazing sponsors for display in their stores.

This project couldn’t have happened without the help of our very generous sponsors.

Picker’s Consignment provided the bike frame and some of the parts.

Incendiary Tattoos helped with the paint work on the guitar sissy bar and provided some of the parts

Upholdery for the amazing custom seat (Gene’s tongue)

Jay McNeil of The Zone 91.3 and 100.3 The Q for setting up the presentation of the bike.
